The Youth Institute for Peace in the Middle East, many of whose leaders were associated with the Social Democrats USA, printed 1,000 copies of this poster in 1974. YIPME was a pro-Israeli youth organization trying to combat left-wing campus support for the PLO as well as convince non-Jewish American students that by supporting Israel, they were supporting democracy in the face of Soviet-backed terrorism and tyranny in the Middle East.
